well..... thats half a lie. i cant stand what the fandom thinks saiouma is and i cant stand anyone who thinks it would work romantically in any capacity LOLL

i think most of my issues come from saiouma fans thinking saihara......... reciprocrates it in any way. but my beloved and wonderful leader you say, tears glittering in your eyes, its FICTION and people are HAVING FUN ITS HARMLESS!!!! ok and i dont like it i think they should stop having fun because im a hater of all fun ever. soooo what now. what do we do now. im a hater first and a persondollthing second ok ok ok ok keep up! keep up!

in all seriousness straying too far from source material is so BORING. you cant stand how the natural dynamic is so you change them to unrecognizable blobs? BORING BORING BORING!!!!! half the people i see liking saiouma like it in an oumota way. does that make sense? they want what oumota has sooooo badly its embarassing.... 99% of the fun of saiouma is ouma canonly (during the love hotel stuff and even outside of it!!) confessing his love in the most cringe fanfic way possible and saihara basically responding 'ok' blank faced. ITS SO FUNNY!!! the one-sidedness is whats interesting!!! and yet ........... le sigh .....

idk everything abt it kinda pisses me off a lil. going back to the whole... 'people like saiouma in an oumota way' ouma and saihara definitely are opposites in ideals, and even blend their morals together in some instances, but the actual foils you need to look towards are ouma and momota!!!! they were literally made to be opposites!!! villain role, hero role?! momota wants a rival that always pushes him to his limit, and ouma wants someone to always chase after him and try to understand him?@?!"!?!??! THEY BOTH BECOME ONE BEING IN CHAPTER 5 AND TEAM UP (MIND U. MOMOTA SAID HE TRUSTED AND WOULD HELP OUMA AS SOON AS THE WORLDS 'END THE KILLING GAME' CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH.) TO DEFEAT THE MASTERMIND??????? MOMOTA MIMICKING OUMA SO WELL IT FOOLS HIS FRIENDS AND YES HE HAD A HANDBOOK BUT COME ON!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY????? not to mention momota IS the only one who ends up understanding, or at the very least, TRIES to understand ouma in canon. the base game. not fte events, nothing else literally aallllllll endgame material baby.

heres my thing: if youre going to ship saiouma, it needs to be messy. i need saihara not to gaf or at the very least always hit ouma with the ???????????? stare. i neeeeeed ouma to be pathetic and weird with it that its really and truly embarassing to witness. i neeeeeeeeeed them to be a relationship everyone sees crash and burn the moment they go public. its not healthy on either end and i looooove that for em.

orrrrr better yet ..... kicks a rock and looks bashfully up at you..... you could give oumota a shot..... mmmmmm think about it for a bit yeah? yeah. its also not very healthy.... buuuut theres a level of trust there ... and understanding ...... are rivals not in anymore? are they not hip? what about enemies reluctantly working together and becoming a better team than they realize...? and basically actually yeah maybe you SHOULD give oumota a shot!!! you WILL!!!! i command it!!!!

anyways ummmmmm idrc if that was messy im ranting not writing an essay (yet...?)..... how to end this ..... saimatsu hetslop solos and its even better as yuri. oumota is better as a whole. yay!

okiii this one is a bit short cause i dont have much to say. it was wayyy more comedic than i was expecting going in n it turned out to be a very plesant surprise. author does a great job at pacing the silly and serious moments.

i really... realllyyyyyy liked the twist of hikaris mom also being stalked and dealing with feelings sazis moms feelings..... it was even sweeter when meno, despite having conflicts with sazi, still was constantly reaching out to her... i really kinda did hope for those three to become a throuple at the end and MISSED THE TRAGEDY TAG ENTIRELY!!!!!!!! AAAHHHUUUHHG!!!!

but its fiiiinneeee i say while sighing and moping around its sooo fine .... the end REALLY caught me off guard. made me out loud go THATS IT???? ough.

in general the arcs the characters went through were fun. again, really surprising to me since i went in blind. couldnt ask for anything better!

a yuri that shocked me and left me feeling a bit sour at the end!!!! seriously!!! they were accepting of sazi come onnnnnn!!!!!!! HIKARI GOT HER A RING TOO!!!!!! WHATEVERRR!!!!!

yup! lets start this media shit off with an uneasy bang. first off yes haha laugh at the irony of Who I Am and the omorashi tag. okay done? good moving on i hate you and that joke who fucking cares we are talking YURIIII. yeha. this yuri is insane and sadly its only just ok. but i do think this is like the ultimate test for the 'do you actually like toxic/abusive yuri or do you like mildly unhealthy they argue once yuri' question.

i was rec'd this yuri a while ago and avoided it solely cause of the vomit and omorashi tags (i get queasy with that stuff very easily)... and i mean a quarter of the manga is fetishes (and anyone denying that is ... wrong? believe me when looking up reviews of this there are some people denying the fetishes.... even though it says it on the description???) but the rest is a winding trainwreck of interpersonal highschool relationship drama. i recommend anyone who loves toxic (better word: abusive) codependant yuri to get into this but also do not fucking ignore the warnings on it. seriously read them all. i ended up missing one.

anyways onto the spoilery fun parts of this post. kitakawa had me anxious the entire read but it was good. not the best not the worst u feel meee? its a tragedy you cant look away from. i knew it was going to end with both of them dying, theres a feeling you get about halfway through reading it when you finally realize oh these girls are never going to be happy. alive or dead.

the runaway arc was the best part of the manga hands down nods nods. the build up of all this gross stuff, everything blowing up in their face, the immediate role switch, and the sudden weird uneasy calmness of running away was pretty well executed.

also the main side characters were also just as insane???? as hina and airi????? ichika wanted to keep things interesting by continuously stirring up trouble so she herself could watch it unfold... and yoshimi... ohhh yoshimi made me laugh i cant lie. calling airi and hinako gross for their shit (shes not wrong... she just went about it all wrong! half the time the hinairi scenes occured i was like?!?! in school!?!? we're doing this in SCHOOL???) then immediately ...... doing ... everything. else she did ... i loved the cognitive dissonance happening.

overall i think this yuri was decent. i know earlier i was talking about how it all went down in school, but thats another level of humiliation airi wanted hinako to go through. does it excuse it no please dont pancake-waffles my review, but that added level of 'crud' was kinda interesting. airi, the girl with a complex who wanted to destroy things too beautiful, and hinako, the girl who was worshipping a false god... yeah i fuck with them. i wanted so badly to root for them... but, again, i knew how it would end. these kinds of stories cant end happy. it was sickening, gross, and hard to look away from.

i give it a "the runaway arc was the best part"/10
